NFL Fanduel Week 13 Players to Start

NFL Fanduel Week 13 Players to Start

Each week we give you a stud and a bargain at each position to help you win your Fanduel match-ups. Lets take a look at some of the players you should be starting this week...

QB - Peyton Manning - DEN vs. KC -- $11,000
Manning with have a little chip on his shoulder in this one after the shocking loss last week in which he hardly was involved. The Broncos need this game to win the division and have a chance at the highly coveted #1 seed. Expect Peyton to strike early and often.
QB- Ryan Fitzpatrick - TEN vs. IND -- $7,600
The Titans have looked good and so has Fitzpatrick as of late. They beat Tennessee two weeks ago and roll in with momentum on their side. Its a bit of a reach but for a QB under 8k he has to potential to surprise.
RB - Adrian Peterson - MIN vs. CHI -- $9,100
AP is back in beast mode and going up against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. 100+ is a lock. Could he get 200?
RB - CJ Spiller - BUF vs. ATL -- $5,700
Spiller has been arguably the most disappointing player in all of fantasy football this season. A first round pick in most drafts, he has been no where to be found all season. Part of that is due to injury, the other part ineffectiveness. He claims to finally be healthy and has a pretty good match-up against a demoralized Falcons team. He could be a great sleeper pick this week.
WR - AJ Green - CIN vs. SD -- $8,800
AJ Green is coming off the worst game of his career last week which saw him have just 2 catches for 7 yards. Previous to that he had 5 straight games of 100+. This week he takes on San Diego and the #28 ranked pass defense. The match-up is there and one would expect Green and Andy Dalton to be motivated to show last week was nothing more than a fluke.
WR - Anquan Boldin - SF vs. STL -- $5,900
The 49ers finally took the training wheels off Kaepernick last week and he found Boldin early and often for 94 yards and 2 TD's. This week the 49ers get Michael Crabtree back who will command a lot of attention on the other side opening up even more field for Boldin.
TE - Rob Gronkowsi - NE vs. HOU -- $8,200
Gronk is back! He has been Tom Brady's favorite target for a few weeks now since returning from injury. He appears to be as close to 100% as we have seen him in a couple of years. He is very expensive for a TE but produces like a top tier WR. If you can budget it, Gronk is going to be a safe bet for the rest of the season.
TE - Rob Housler - ARI vs. PHI -- $4,700
Housler has slowly come to the top of the depth chart as a viable target for Carson Palmer. Housler has been targeted 5+ times and has 4 or more catches in his last four games. All it takes is one of those to find the end-zone and you have yourself a bargain steal.
K - Steven Hauschka - SEA vs. NO -- $5,800
Its going to be a rock fight out in Seattle this week as the Seahawks and Saints duke it out for the top spot in the NFC. This game could be a higher scoring affair than people expect. In a back and fourth affair we'll take the kicker from the team expected to win.
K - Robbie Gould - CHI vs. MINN -- $5,000
The best of the 5k group this week. Gould will get plenty of opportunities as Chicago will score points, just perhaps not touchdowns.
DEF - Buffalo Bills - vs. ATL -- $5,700
Atlanta is a mess and losing motivation by the day. They are out of the playoff picture and will want nothing to do with the elements in Buffalo.
DEF - New York Jets - vs. MIA -- $5,000
The Miami offensive line is terrible and the Jets have one of the best defensive lines in football. Expect the "Sons of Anarchy" to spend a good portion of the day in the Miami back field.

Good luck this week everyone! Be sure to check back with us on Tuesday for a complete recap of the picks!

NCAA Cash-In Quickie

With the holiday rush we are going to mix it up a bit with a quick analysis of the games we like for Saturday, November 30th. Hopefully you all cashed in with us on Thursday where we went a perfect 3-0 on a Wild on Sports Thanksgiving Trifecta. Lets see if we can keep that hot streak going this weekend!

Minnesota @ Michigan State
Line: Michigan St -17, O/U: 42.5

Minnesota has won 4 of their last five including wins over Penn St., Nebraska and Northwestern. They have covers five of their last five, giving Wisconsin all they could handle last week. Michigan State will probably win the game and the Big 10 but Minnesota has a knack of hanging around. We expect this game to be alot closer than many expect.

PICK: MINNESOTA +17

Boston College @ Syracuse
Line: Boston College -2.5, O/U: 51

Boston College takes a four game winning streak to Syracuse to take on the 5-6 Orange. BC has been dominant in recent week led by Heisman hopefully running back Andre Williams. Expect Williams to get the rock early and often in this one in what should be a comfortable Eagles victory.

Pick: BOSTON COLLEGE -2.5

Baylor @ TCU
Line: Baylor -13.5, O/U: 65.5

Baylor is coming off an embarrassing shackling at the hands of Oklahoma St last weekend that ended any hopes of playing in the National title game. They still have a chance to win the Big 12 with a win this week. Expect them to come out with a chip on their shoulder and put up a big number.

Pick: BAYLOR -13.5

NFL Power Rankings - Week 13

Wild on Sports

NFL Power Rankings - Week 13

We have some movement at the top again this week! Last week's # the Seattle Seahawks maintain their top spot after taking care of business against the Minnesota Vikings. The win marks the 6th straight for Seattle. They will get a huge test this week against our #2 ranked New Orleans Saints. The Saints come into the game winners of three straight, the most recent of which against division rival Atlanta. Jumping back into the top 5 this week are the New England Patriots. The Brady-Manning Bowl lived up to the hype in what was the most exciting game of the season to date. Brady and the Pats came back from 24 down to salvage and overtime win. Manning and the Broncos fall two spots this week to #4. Their path does not get any easier as they have a huge divisional game of their own this week against the Kansas City Chiefs. Rounding out the top 5, we have have the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers survived a scare from Miami but managed to control the second half and walk away with their 7th straight victory.

The big mover awards this week belong to the San Diego Chargers and New York Jets. The Chargers jump up six places this week to 14 after knocking off the division leading Chiefs. The Chargers now find themselves right in the thick of a playoff race for the 6th and final seed. Going in the wrong direction are the New York Jets. The Jets have now lost two straight and Geno Smith looks like a deer in headlines out there. They need to turn things around in a hurry this week as they take on the Miami Dolphins in a battle that will for all intensive purposes eliminate the lose from playoff contention.

Where does your team rank this week?

NCAA Cash-In Thursday
Texas Tech Red Raiders @ Texas Longhorns
Line: Texas -5, O/U: 67

The Match-Up

The ice cold Texas Tech Red Raiders head to Austin to take on the resurging Longhorns. The game for Texas has major implications as they are still in contention for a Big 12 title despite the bad loss last week to Oklahoma St. Case McCoy will get the nod again at QB but he will be without the services of star RB Jonnathan Gray. Gray suffered a season ending knee injury two weeks ago. Without Gray in the mix Malcolm Brown will be relied upon heavily in this one.

For Texas Tech the season can't end soon enough. After getting off to a fantastic start the wheels have completely fallen off losing four straight. They have given up an average of 50.5 points per game over that stretch. The biggest issue has been the revolving door at QB. Both Davis Webb and Baker Mayfield have been very turnover prone, putting an already week defense in short yardage positions. They must protect the football this week if they want the losing streak to stop at four. Coach Kingsbury has yet to name a starter at QB for the game, saying that all three are available and all three in consideration. Not exactly a vote of confidence.

Trends:

Last year was a 31-22 road win by the Longhorns as 6.5-point dogs.
Texas Tech is 0-4 SU and against the spread in its last four games.
The OVER is 7-0 in Texas Tech’s last seven games
The UNDER is 4-1 in Texas’ last five games

The Verdict:

This game really is a must win for both Mac Brown and his teams Big 12 hopes. The early season rumblings that Brown could get run out of town have restarted following last week's loss. A loss to Tech would only intensify those rumbles especially going into a game against Baylor that very few people expect them to even keep close. The difference in this one could be on the defensive side of the ball. Texas has lost a few big bodies but still give up just just 26 points per game, which is actually a fairly impressive number in a scoring happy conference. Texas Tech is a mess right now. They can score, but they also give up a ton of points. Texas just needs this one more. Hook'em horns!

Pick: TEXAS -5

 NCAA CBB Thursday Cash-In
Xavier Musketeers @ Iowa Hawkeyes
Line: Iowa -6

The Match-Up

Two undefeated teams will face off on Thanksgiving day as the 5-0 Xavier Musketeers take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa comes into the game ranked and unbeaten, but who they have really played this season? No one you or I have likely heard of. That said, they are one of the better shooting teams in the country, a stat that generally translates well. They are averaging over 90 points per game, a stat that may be skewed a bit by the competition, but worth mentioning nonetheless. This team can score and when they get it going watch out.

Xavier comes in also undefeated, but like Iowa, really have yet to face any stiff competition. While they do not score at nearly the same clip that Iowa does, they do have the 12th best shooting percentage in the NCAA at 52.5. The strength of the Musketeers is their guard play. They are small, quick and really have a knack of controlling the flow of the game. That could be very disruptive to the fast paced Iowa attack.

Trends:

IOWA are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
XAV are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big Ten.
Under is 10-3 in XAV last 13 Thu. games.
XAV are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games overall.

The Verdict:

Iowa is the sexy pick this their high scoring offense but Xavier is the much more well rounded team. Guard play with inevitably decide this one and the Musketeers hold a distinct edge. We'll take the points in this one.

Pick: XAVIER +6

http://www4.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Baltimore+Ravens+v+Pittsburgh+Steelers+C1fVFADfbWLl.jpg
NFL Thursday Cash-In
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Line: Baltimore -2.5, O/U: 41

The Match-Up:

The 5-6 Pittsburgh Steelers head to Baltimore for a Thanksgiving day date with its fiercest of rivals, the 5-6 Ravens. While the teams both enter with identical records their paths have been quite different. The Ravens got out of the gate with wins in two of their first three games. After swapping wins and losses over the next two they went cold on streak that saw them lose 3 of for road games. They have been back on the winning track as of late with wins in two out of their last three, both of which were at home.

The Steelers got off to a god awful start losing four straight to start the year. After a pair of wins and losses they seem to have started to turn things around with three straight victories. They have gotten back to their bread and butter of past Steelers successes -- pound the ball on the ground and play stingy defense.

The game marks the second time these two teams will have met. The Steelers won a 19-16 closely contested game at home back on October 20th. A lot has change since then but one thing remains the same; these two team hate each other and always play each other tough.

Trends:

Nine of the last 11 regular-season meetings between the clubs have been decided by a field goal.
The Steelers have won five of those games, with the Ravens winning four.
The Ravens are 4-1 against the spread at home this season.
The UNDER is 7-4 in Pittsburgh games and 7-3-1 in Baltimore contests in 2013.

The Verdict:

The Ravens are 4-1 ATS at home this season, but the Steelers are on their best run of the season, having won and covered their last three games. The trend that really stands out is the 9 of 11 games by a field goal or less. That indicates a very close match-up and gives a little lean to the dog. On top of that, Pittsburgh has made a complete 180 since being embarrassed by the Patriots four weeks ago. Perhaps the light bulb went off in coach Mike Tomlin's head that Steelers football is ground and pound not air it out some 55+% of the time. Its going to be tough to get it done on the road but we like Pittsburgh to win outright.

PICK: PITTSBURGH +2.5

NHL Power Rankings
November 27, 2013

Another week, another new #1. At the top of the Central Division with games in hand over the defending Champion and #2 Chicago Blackhawks are the St. Louis Blues. The Blues are 8-1-1 over their past ten games and are 3rd in the league in scoring. Match that with solid goaltending and you have a team that will be right there in contention for the Western Conference crown this season.  As mentioned, the Blackhawks continue to show that there will be no Stanley Cup hangover in Chicago this season. In fact, they may have the best chance of any team that we have seen in years to repeat. They sit at #2 on a three game win streak and wins in 8 of their last 10. Jumping up one spot this week are the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks are without question the deepest team in terms of goaltending in the season. In fact, that depth is going to start to become a problem with three players all deserving of starers minutes. At #4 are the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks continue to hang tough in the Pacific Division despite the down week last week. Making the dig jump back into the top 5 are the Colorado Avalanche. It appeared they were in a tail spin after jumping out of the gate like gangbusters. This past week they took a huge step back in the right direction with wins over Chicago, Phoenix, and LA -- all teams rank in the top 5 last week.

The big mover of the week award this week belongs to the Philadelphia Flyers who jump up a whopping 9 spots to #15. After being left for dead early in the season they have won 6 of 7 and find themselves just 1 point out of a playoff spot in the East. Going the other direction are the Washington Capitals and Dallas Stars, down 7 spots each after three loss weeks.
