NFL Week 14 Cash-In: Indianapolis at Cincinnati

Wild on Sports
NFL Week 14 Cash-In
Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals
Line: Cincinnati -7, O/U: 43

The Match-Up
The 8-4 Indianapolis Colts head to Cincinnati to take on the 8-4 Bengals. Despite sharing the same record, the path of these two teams has been very different. Indy jumped out of the gate winning six of their first eight games including knocking off San Francisco, Seattle and Denver. Since then they are 2-2 with two very bad losses to St. Louis and Arizona. The two wins sandwiched in between were nail bitters against Tennessee. A far cry from the team and execution that we saw from Indy to start the season.

For the Bengals, their season has been a series of close games (8 of 12 by a touchdown or less) that has Bengals fans happy that their team is in the drivers seat for the division but not really sure what they have. The one big difference in the team is home and away. They are a perfect 5-0 in Cincy but a mere 3-4 on the road. The interesting thing here is even with that perfect home record this is the largest spread the Bengals have had in any game this season and it comes against a team with a equal record.

Colts are 7-1 SU, 5-3 ATS past eight games vs. Bengals
Bengals are 2-6 ATS past eight at home to Colts since 1989
Bengals 5-1 ATS past six as home favorite
The Verdict
Call be crazy here but this may be the game that the wishy-washy Colts need to right the ship heading towards the playoffs. Getting seven points against a team that has a tendency to play close games looks too good to pass up, particularly when the Colts very well could win outright. Take the points!
