NFL Cash-In: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills

Wild on Sports
NFL Cash-In:
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills
Line: Kansas City -4, O/U: 39.5

Who would have thought that through eight games the only undefeated team would be the Kansas City Chiefs? Umm....that would be no one. Thanks to a much improved offensive scheme led by an efficient new QB in Alex Smith, the Chiefs have knocked down every team in their path. This week that path takes them to Buffalo and a date with the 3-5 Bills.

The Bills have been a difficult team to put a finger on this season. They have scored 20+ in all but one game this season but have also been allowing 20+ in each. They have shown up in big games against Carolina, Baltimore and Miami, winning each as dogs. They will be getting RB CJ Spiller back this week which should create one of the better RB match-ups of the season in Spiller and Jamaal Charles.

The Bills are likely to be using their third starting QB of the season in either Jeff Tuel or Matt Flynn. Opening day starter EJ Manuel and number two Thad Lewis are both out. Lewis has an outside shot at playing, but coach Doug Marrone eluded to his struggles in throwing the ball due to injury this week. With so much uncertainty at QB it is going to put that much more pressure on the running game to perform. The Bills know that, we know that and be sure that the Chiefs know that. We are going to see some heavy box sets in this one.

The Verdict: Charles going up against a porous Bills defense spells disaster for Buffalo. The Chiefs just find ways to win, even if it is not pretty at times. Some will argue that they could be looking ahead to their epic match-up next week with Denver. Not so fast. Andy Reid will have his team ready. The Chiefs are perfect (3-0) ATS on the road this year. Expect that trend to continue.
