The Match-Up

Oklahoma State comes into the game ranked #12 in the country and have looked like a top 25 team just about all season. They have been down right dominant in recent weeks with victories over Texas Tech and Kansas. Their defense is one of the better groups you'll find. They are giving up an average of 4.7 yards per play which ranks they 14th in the country. They are also averaging nearly 3 turnovers per game, good for 6th in the country.

#23 Texas failed to get out of the gate this season and it very nearly cost Mack Brown his job. They have rebounded well in recent week rattling off six straight wins including a big time victory against Oklahoma. The injury bug is starting to rear its ugly head for Texas as QB David Ash, LB Jordan Hicks, RB Jonnathan Gray and DT Chris Whaley are all banged up. Gray and Whaley were both forced out of the game last week.

Oklahoma State is 4-0 ATS in its last four games.
The favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.
Texas is 4-4-1 ATS this season and 2-2 ATS on the road.
Oklahoma State is 6-3 ATS and 2-2 ATS at home.

The Verdict

Texas has been much better as of late but they are playing out of their class this week. Oklahoma State is a very good football team. They were highly ranked coming into the season and have proven their worth to this point as a team flirting with the top 10. Injuries to key players for the Longhorns are going to catch up to them this week against a very tough opponent.
