MLB Power Rankings
September 17, 2013

The Boston Red Sox are the first team to crack the 90-win mark this season and once again take claim to the best record in the MLB and top spot in our Power Rankings. The Braves, Cardinals, A's and Pirates round out the top five. The real story this week is the collapse of two teams who just a couple of weeks ago were in firm control of their playoff lives. The Texas Rangers have lost 9 of their last 10 including 7 in a row and are in danger of falling out of the playoff picture all together after leading the AL West for a significant portion of the season. The LA Dodgers who were the hottest team in baseball for the majority of the 2nd half are falling on hard times as well dropping 7 of their last 10 and falling from 3 to 7 in this week's rankings.
