NHL Power Rankings
April 24, 2013

In our final installment of the NHL Power Rankings for the 2013 season, the Chicago Blackhawks once again maintain the top spot. The injury ridden Pittsburgh Penguins hold on to number two this week, while the Ducks, Bruins and Canucks round out the top 5. Among the big risers this week we see the Islanders and Blue Jackets move up 2 and 3 spots respectively and are now both in the top 15. If you polled 100 hockey fans before the season you would struggle to find anyone who would have expected that either, let alone both could very will make the playoffs this season. New York clinched last night following Winnipeg's loss. Columbus currently holds the 8th seed in the West by 1 point over the Detroit Red Wings. It is going to be a fun final week of the NHL season as the final playoff spots are up for grabs in both conferences. Enjoy the games everyone!
