NBA Power Rankings
April 9, 2013

The Miami Heat continue to hold down the top spot in this week's NBA Power Rankings even with some of their biggest stars missing in action due to injury. We are nearing the point in the season where even minor injuries for players on teams in playoff contention mean extra nights off -- a nightmare for fans going to the games, but much needed rest going into the playoffs for those players.

The New York Knicks are winners of 12 games in a row and are clearly the hottest team in basketball. If not for the Heat's 27 game streak earlier in the season, they would probably even be #1 at this point. Carmelo Anthony is reasserting himself as one of the truly elite players in the game scoring 30, 40, even 50 points some nights during the streak.
