NCAA Friday Night Cash-In

Another night, another chance to make a couple bucks. After watching last night's game college football fans everywhere are starving for points. Will we get them tonight?

Ball State Cardinals (9-3) at Central Florida Knights (9-4) O/U 60.5

The UCF Knights finished their regular season with a record of 9-4, going 7-1 in Conference USA play.  The Ball State Cardinals finished with a 9-3 record on the year, going 6-2 in the MAC conference. Both teams have high powered offenses led by underclassmen QB's. If last night's game taught us anything it is that when the pressure is on in a big game bowl atmosphere, mistakes can and will be made with advantages going to defenses. While the scoring trends of both teams leads otherwise, we are sticking with the turnover trend and the under. Some sites have it at 60, others 61 -- we'll split the difference.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Week 16 NFL Sunday Cash-In

 Week 16 NFL Sunday Cash-In
A look at the games you should be playing this weekend! Good luck everyone and happy holidays!

Week Record: 3-0-1

Minnesota (+8.5) at Houston
This game features the top two running-backs in the NFL.  Adrian Peterson has a chance to put himself in position to break Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record. No team has been able to stop him so far and while the Texans do sport one of the better defenses in the league, we expect a very motivated Peterson to still crack the 100+yd mark. The Vikings are 4-1-1 ATS past 6 as dog of 8+ points. The Vikings need this one if they are going to make the playoffs. With this game being dominated by the ground game it should stay relatively low scoring and close enough to cover spreads over a touchdown.

Miami (-4.5) vs. Buffalo
The Bills are really banged up. They have two, and only two, offensive threats in C.J. Spiller and Stevie Johnson. The Dolphins are hanging on to the slimmest of playoff hopes and must win out with some help from Cincinnati this weekend to even have a chance. Tannehill and the offensive showed some promise last weekend, albeit against a poor Jaguars team. If they can keep that momentum, and we would expect they will have plenty of motivation to do so, they should win easily.

New Orleans (+2.5) vs. Dallas
The Cowboys are 1-6 against the spread at home this season. December is here, which means it is only a matter of time before we see Romo and company complete their yearly collapse.  Saints have won 6 of their past 7 against the Cowboys since 1998. The Saints are 6-1 SU & ATS over the past 7 December games. One the other side the Cowboys 1-9 ATS in their past 10 home games. Nothing would make Drew Brees and company happier than to knock Dallas out of playoff contention. All signs point to New Orleans in this one.

Indianapolis (-7) vs. Kansas City
The Colts are 6-1 at home this season ATS. They have a chance to lock up a playoff spot and are facing a Chiefs team that failed to score against a poor Oakland team last weekend. The Raiders are just 1-6 on the road this season and have little left to play for. Expect the Colts to roll by double digits.

Thursday Night NCAA Cash-In

BYU 7-5 (6-6 ATS) -3 vs. San Diego St. 9-3 (8-4 ATS)

With this game being played in San Diego it is a little suprising that BYU is a 3 point favorite for this one. BYU has had a very difficult time scoring against above average defenses (14 points each vs. San Jose St. & Notre Dame with combine 6 TO). Fortunately, they boast one of the the better front 4's on defense in the county.  Conversely, San Diego St. has an explosive ground attack that averaged 229yds/game, while struggling at times on the defensive side of the ball (24.5ppg). If SDSU can gets the ground game going they will gain a major advantage in time of possession, eventually wearing down down the tough BYU d-line. Its going to be a close one but we are going to take the points and the Aztecs.

Pick: SAN DIEGO ST. +3

Fanduel NFL Week 16 Players to Start

Fanduel NFL Week 16 Players to Start
A look at the best match-ups and bargains at each position for Week 16 of the NFL Fanduel season. Good luck everyone and happy holidays!

QB Aaron Rodgers  $9,200  vs. Tenn
Rodgers is as steady as they come and coming off a great week last week goes up against a Tennessee Titans team that has been a great match-up for fantasy QB's not named Mark Sanchez. If you are going with a big money QB Rodgers is guy. Those of you playing leagues that start on Thursday may want to take a look at Matt Ryan against a beat up Lion's secondary as well.
QB Jay Cutler  $6,600  vs. ARI
Cutler is one of those guys who is a high risk, high reward type of play. He has games where he will look like a top tier QB throwing for 260/2/0 then turn around with a 210/0/3 stinker. At only $6,600 he is about as cheap a starter as you can find. Brandon Marshall is having a great season at the receiving end and publiclly challenged the offense follow last week's loss to the Packers. How will they respond? If they respond well Cutler is a steal here at $6,600.

RB Alfred Morris  $7,400  vs.  PHI
Morris had 27 carries for 87 yards and 2 TD's Sunday against the Browns. Expect the Redskins to rely heavily on Morris again this week as they ease RGIII back into the swing of things and make a push for the playoffs. Morris has been hot lately and they have been feeding him the ball a ton. A good play this week and at just $7,400 and allows you to spend elsewhere without paying out the 9000 for a Peterson or Foster.
RB Knowshon Moreno  $6,600  vs. CLE
Moreno continues to put up big numbers and again is listed at a great bargain at just $6,600. Moreno had 22 carries for 118 rushing yards and a touchdown against a tough Baltimore defense last week. This week he faces a Cleveland team that Alfred Morris put up big numbers on a week ago. Great play again this week.

WR Brandon Marshall  $8,200  vs. ARI
We like the Cutler-Marshall combo this week. Marshall is motivated as evident by his post game press conference following last week's loss to the Packers. Marshall is having one of the best seasons of any WR in the league but is being overshadowed by the likes of Calvin Johnson. If you are going with our bargain at QB in Cutler, Marshall is a must have at the other end.
WR Stevie Johnson  $6,400  vs.  MIA
For whatever reason Johnson likes playing the Dolphins. Buffalo Bills are tough starts most weeks but they did knock off Miami earlier in the season and Johnson remains QB Ryan Fitzpatrick's favorite target. The two connected on a great touchdown last week against a far better pass defense in Seattle. Expect Johnson to get plenty of looks this week.

TE Heath Miller  $6,100  vs.  CIN
Miller is coming off a big game and faces a Cincinnati team that he put up 6/53/1 against earlier in the season. With big names Gronk/Hernandez/Graham all banged up, Miller is the best of that second tier and this week makes for a good play.
TE Benjamin Watson  $4,900  vs.  DEN
If the Broncos have a weakness on defense it is defending against TE's who have torched them all season long. Case & point:  last week Dennis Pita (our bargain pick) lit them up for 120yds and 2 TD's. Watson has been inconsistent this season but is starting to appear more and more on Brandon Weeden's radar in the red zone. If there was a week for him to stand out, this would be it.

K Phil Dawson  $5,000  vs.  DEN
Dawson is the best of the $5,000 group again this week. Denver is a decent defense that should make it difficult for Trent Richardson and Co. to find the end-zone. Expect Dawson to have plenty of opportunities for FG's this week.

DEF  New England  $5,600  vs.  JAX
We usually give you a $5,000 play here but we have seen over the course of the season that defense plays a much more important role in dominating your Fanduel league each week than we often give it credit for. Couple that with a bunch of poor match-ups at the bottom of the board this week and it's time to look for a stud D elsewhere. The Patriots defense was embarrassed by the 49ers last weekend, showing a vulnerability that they had not shown in weeks. Expect them to bounce back with a statement game this weekend against a Jacksonville team that really is not that good.

NFL Week 16 Waiver Wire Wonders

NFL Week 16 Waiver Wire Wonders
If you are still alive in Fantasy it means you have made it to your leagues Finals or Semi's. This week it is more important than ever to find that guy to fill in for your injured player or guy with a bad match-up. Lets take a look at a few of the player who can lead you to victory this week.  Good luck everyone!

QB - Sam Bradford  STL   vs. TB
Bradford is coming off a career day of 377yds and 3TD's. He is going up against a Tampa Bay team that is giving up a league most 27.3 fantasy points (320.8 yards and 2.75 total touchdowns) per game to opposing QB's. He has all his WR's back and healthy now. Expect another strong performance against the Bucs this week.
RB - DeAngelo Williams  CAR   vs.  OAK
Jonnathan Stewart will be out again this week which means Williams owners do not have to worry about splitting carries there.  The only problem is that Mike Tolbert, the same guy who poached TD's from Ryan Matthew/Darren Sproles owners in his time with the Chargers has emerged as a goal line guy. The good news:  Williams is averaging 120+ total yards and a TD over the past two games. He is a receiving threat out of the backfield and going up against a shaky Oakland defense.
RB - Danny Woodhead  NE   vs.  JAX
Woodhead took over the primary RB job for the majority of the SF game after Stevan Ridley (2) and Shane Vereen (1) coughed up the ball early and found themselves in Bill Belichick's dog house. The Pats should score early and often giving any offensive player who suits up and plays the ability to have a productive fantasy day. With the game likely to be in hand by halftime there will be plenty of garbage points for a back to grab in the second half. Woodhead seems to have Belichick's trust at the moment making him a good play.
WR Braylon Edwards  NYJ  vs.  SD
Greg McElroy has been named the starter for this one. With the season all but over the Jets, expect them to give McElroy a little freedom to evaluate him and see what he can do.  We was very efficient, albeit in a small sample size, going 5 for 7 for 29yds and a TD in his only appearance in a come back victory in week 13. Edwards is clearly his best option at WR and should get the bulk of the red-zone looks.  If you are thin at WR and need to take a flyer on a guy this week Edwards might be worth a look.
TE - Benjamin Watson  CLE  vs  DEN
TE's has lit up the Broncos defense this season. Anyone watching the game last week against the Ravens would have seen what Dennis Pita did to them. Browns QB Branden Weeden is starting to look a little more comfortable back there and is throwing with much better confidence. Expect Watson to get plenty of looks, particularly in the red-zone.

A look back at Fanduel NFL Week 15

A look back at Fanduel NFL Week 15

Wow, rough one this week. If you took any member of a New York football team you were left shaking your head.  If you avoided them, you had a chance. We gave you two of the top RB's and a stud sleeper at TE.  Lets take a look back at the rest of the weekend that was NFL Fanduel Week 15.

QB - Aaron Rodgers $8,900  vs. Chicago                    25.44
Solid day for Rodgers who found James Jones for 3 TD's. About what you would expect from Rodgers. Expensive, but productive play most weeks.

QB - Eli Manning  $7,700  vs. Atlanta                          4.44
Terrible day for Manning which translated to the rest of the offense.  Just could not get anything going against an Atlanta defense that showed up to play. Very disappointing selection.

RB - Marshawn Lynch  $7,700  vs. Buffalo                  19.2
The offensive leader for a team that has now put up 50 points in consecutive weeks. Lynch showed yet again why he is the #2 runningback in yards per game and fantasy points this season. Owners will take 113 & a TD just about every week, which is what you got from Lynch yet again.

RB - Knowshown Moreno  $6,200  vs. Baltimore         19.6
Moreno continues to shine in his opportunity in his opportunity in since the McGahee injury. 118yds & 1TD is a very solid performance. That is 3 weeks in a row now with impressive games for Moreno. You can expect more to come in the final weeks and the Broncos push for home field for the playoffs.

WR - Victor Cruz  $7,300  vs. Atlanta                            3.0
As Manning goes so goes the Giants offense and unfortunately that means down games for guys like Cruz. It didn't help Cruz owners that he missed a portion of the game due to injury. Hopefully you went with other options.

WR - Josh Gordon  $5,900  vs. Washington                   4.2
After emerging as Brandon Weedon's go to guy in previous weeks, Gordon had a rough go on Sunday.  He had just 3 receptions for 27 yards. A far cry from the 200+ he had put up over the previous two weeks.  With the Browns playoffs hopes now smashed, it will be interesting to see how they just Gordon going forward.

TE - Martellus Bennett $5,500  vs. Atlanta                   2.0
Another player at the mercy of Manning's letdown.  He didn't have a target until the 2nd half. Tough play. Hopefully you followed our bargain pick here.

TE - Dennis Pitta  $5,100  vs.  Denver                          28.0
Joe Flacco relied on Pitta to supercharge the comeback attempt on Sunday and he held up his end of the bargain. He reeled in 7 catches for 125yards and 2 TD's good for 28 points which led all TE's this week. Great pick for those who went the bargain route.

K - Nick Folk $5,000  vs. Tennessee                               4.0
Boy that Jets offense is a mess. They had plenty of chance for points but 5 turnovers from Mark Sanchez crippled owners who went with Folk this week. You were best off if you stayed away from all things NY this week.

DEF - Detroit  $5,000  vs. Arizona                                 3.0
Arizona looks like a completely different team from the one that got blown out the previous week.  They moved the ball and put up some points against the Lions D. A surprising outcome for the many who went with Detroit.

NFL Monday Night Cash-In: Week 15

Time to rebound from a tough one last night and finish the week on a good note! This line has moved all over the place today but seems to be settling in at Pick'em!  Good luck everyone!

New York Jets (Pick'em) vs. Tennessee Titans  8:30  ESPN
(6-7 SU, 6-6-1 ATS)  vs.  (4-9 SU, 4-9 ATS)

Two fairly lackluster teams go toe to toe on Monday night this week.  For the Jets it is a must win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. For the Titans it is just another chance to evaluate young talent and see if players like QB Jake Locker are players to build around for the future. On the statistically side, in the teams recent head to head history the Jets are 5-1 SU and 6-0 ATS against the Titans in their last 6 match-ups. Mark Sanchez has one of his favorite targets back in Braylon Edwards, a combination that produced 1400 yards and 11 TD's in two seasons together. With the lights shining bright for Monday night football expect both teams to show a little something. The Jets backs are against the wall and with playoff hopes hinging on a win we are banking on them coming to play tonight and walking away with the victory.

Sunday Night Cash-In Special

A Week 15 Bonus selection. Good luck everyone!

New England (-4) vs. San Francisco  8:20 NBC
The line for this game has fallen from -6 this morning all the way down to -4, even -3.5 on one site. We suspect everyone saw what the Patriots did at home on Monday night against a now 12-2 Texans team.  New England has won seven games in a row and are a ridiculous 21-0 in their last 21 games in December. One interesting item of note, the 49ers are 0-1-1 against the St.Louis Rams, a team New England blew out 45-7 six weeks ago. If the same New England team shows up Sunday night that beat up the Texans on Monday, this game should not be close.  The only chance San Francisco has is to rush Brady and hit him early and often. A low scoring game favors the 49ers. We expect the league's leading offense (36.3ppg) to continue to roll.
